Losing Weight Can be Easy – and Tasty!
As someone who had once worked in the
Calgary weight loss industry and battled his own weight problems, I’ve had my
share of bland, boring diets and encountered people who feel the same about the
diets I recommend. Everyone seems to be
out for a quick fix – they want a diet that could help them stay slim while
allowing them to eat most, if not all the unhealthy foods they enjoy munching
on. I’ve got four words for them – those
diets don’t work. But I assure you, it
is possible to eat right, lose weight, and enjoy the food you eat.
Almost every expert on weight loss in
Calgary agrees that fruits and vegetables are a must on every weight loss
diet. I agree wholeheartedly, but to
make things easier on your palate, I would recommend apples, tomatoes, cherries
and avocados. Celery would also make a
good vegetable to add to the list. The
elements and nutrients found in these fruits and vegetables not only help one
lose weight – they also help prevent cancer, hypertension and heart problems.
I don’t believe in going meatless. Still, there are certain things you want to
avoid in a weight loss diet, such as chicken skin and most types of red
meat. That said, fish and chicken
(without the skin) are low in fat yet don’t leave you wanting for taste if
cooked the right way.
As you can see, it can be just that simple
if you want to weigh a few pounds lighter without putting your taste buds to
sleep.
